5) Quicker switching
When it comes to fluorescent and incandescent bulbs, light is produced due to superheating a medium. This is not the same for LED lighting. As soon as electricity flows through the chip, electroluminescence almost instantly happens. This enables LED light bulbs to be turned on and off faster than other sources of light. In fact, it can attain full brightness in a matter of microseconds.
6) No side effects
LED lamps do not hold Mercury vapor unlike fluorescent lamps. They are therefore safer to dispose of and less toxic than regular fluorescent bulbs
