Cat Genie also requires special granules and cleaning cartridges, which can become a financial burden over time. As with the other device, there is still the possibility of the cat rejecting the unit and refusing to use it.
Automatic litter boxes are great time savers, and they enable people to avoid the nastiness of kitty waste as much as possible. For this reason alone many are willing to invest a chunk of change in the technologies.
This Litter Robot review is quite positive in general with the only recurring complaint being its size. Cat Genie has good feedback except for the cost and annoyance of the special accessories and the need for a water hook-up.
